ViewRanger for Android beta v1.1.8

A new beta version of ViewRanger for Android is available, v1.1.8.

To install visit www.viewranger.com/vranbeta using the web browser on your phone. However, if you bought Viewranger through the Android Market, please wait for the software to be published on the Market.

The changes include:
- Support for downloading and unpacking ZIP files.
- Better performance scrolling long lists or routes and tracks.
- Playing video and audio links, for example in the audio/video route guides.
- Progress panel when downloading.
- Support for New Zealand mapping.
- Support for the more mdern French RGF93 coordinate system.
- Faster GPX import.

ViewRanger for Symbian Software Update v2.8.8

The ViewRanger software for Symbian phones has been updated to version 2.8.8.

The software is available from www.viewranger.com/software. (If you obtained the software from an app store such as ovi, please wait for the update to be published there, because the version here needs a license key.)

The changes are quite small:
- Faster start up and file search when the online map cache is large.
- Support for the more modern French coordinate system RGF93.
- Fixes to a couple of reliability problems with groups.
- New Italian translation added and the German translation improved.
- Sometimes tracks did not show height loss/gain, now fixed.
