ViewRanger updates and bank holiday

Android

We have just released a new beta version of the ViewRanger software for Android phones. This adds support for the compass, adds a scale bar and improves the reliability of the buddy beacon and navigation.

The beta is available from www.viewranger.com/vranbeta and the release notes give details.


iPhone

The iPhone version of ViewRanger has been updated to version 1.1.2, available to update through the app store. This fixes a couple of problems in the previous release. The last main release, v1.1.0, added support for iOS4 and the iPad. A new release is coming soon.


UK public holiday

Monday 30th August is a public holiday in the UK. Support is available throughout the holiday weekend by email, and the store is open 24 hours a day.
