A new beta release of ViewRanger for Android is available, version 2.1.3. This contains a number of fixes and small improvements, particularly to track recording and syncing.
The release is available from www.viewranger.com/vranbeta - visit that page using the web browser on your phone, tap on the Android logo to download, then tap on the downloaded file to install. Sorry, the beta is not available if you use a version of ViewRanger downloaded from the Market.
