Lake District and autumn

posted by Mike Brocklehurst on Tuesday, October 31, 2006

I've just returned from a great week of walking and testing ViewRanger in the Lake District. Though it rained a lot, during daylight it was mainly occasional showers, so I could walk all day, every day.

There are some great autumn colours, especially the bracken, but only a few trees have turned. With the rain and this year's unusually long growing season the colours seem especially rich. With frosts expected this week the colours in the next couple of weeks should be fantastic.
